On Thursday, September 25, Jeff Kurrus, a Nebraska author, visited Centennial as part of the Plum Creek Children's Literacy Festival. He had presentations for the Elementary and Jr. High students. Jeff is the editor of NEBRASKAland Magazine, where he works with photos and stories of animals and nature in Nebraska. Jeff was inspired to begin writing books for children by his own young children. He has written two children's books--his second is hot off the press and tells about a family of kit foxes. The title of that book is 'The Tale of Jacob Swift.' Both of his books feature amazing photographs taken right here in Nebraska. The students really enjoyed seeing these amazing photos and hearing about the inspiration behind these two stories.
