This is the image for the news article titled Centennial Storybook Pumpkin PatchIn late October, the Centennial Media Center turned in to Centennial's Storybook Pumpkin Patch.  Each class in grades PreK-6th were asked to decorate a pumpkin as their favorite storybook character.  Students then had to write a brief description about the book the character is in.  The Media Center was filled with wonderful entries.  The students and teachers worked so hard on their entries and they turned out great!  The students were able to vote for their favorite pumpkin and there was also a panel of judges that named another winner.  The students voted for Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. as their favorite pumpkin.  This pumpkin was designed by Miss Stuhr's First Grade Class.  The judge's award went to the Pre-School 4 year old class for their entry of Elmer.  The winning classes were awarded with a popcorn party and a movie in the Media Center.  This activity was a lot of fun for the students, teachers and staff at Centennial.  We are so excited to see what characters pop up in our storybook patch next year!
