“Meet the SPOTSTONES” was the theme of this year’s Nebraska FCCLA 2013 Peer Education Retreat.  Our chapter attended the event on February 24th and 25th in Kearney hosted by the Peer Teams- Families First, Student Body, and Financial Fitness.  After attending the opening session, we were split into groups by color and explored the variety of events scheduled.  Todd Calfee of The Alexis Project shared his very important message of sober driving.  Our chapter also learned to be better leaders through sessions sponsored by the Peer Team, Brian Broich and the Kearney YMCA.  Our chapter’s hard work was even acknowledged by receiving the National Family Week Participant Award.  All in all, the day was entertaining and educational.  We certainly look forward to coming back next year!
