Youth Frontiers Kindness Retreat

On August 26, 5th grade students along with Mrs. Barjenbruch and six high school leaders had the opportunity to attend the Youth Frontiers Kindness Retreat. This retreat was sponsored by ESU #6 in Milford, and was held at Dorchester Public School. The goals for the day were to understand why and how to make kind choices, enhance empathy skills, and to acquire conflict resolution skills in order to safely deal with bullying. Centennial students, along with other area schools, were able to meet these goals through participating in high-energy activities in both small and large group settings. At the end of the day, students were able to share what they would do in order to make their school a kinder place, committing to helping to build a kinder school community.
