The sophomore students in Mrs. Rickert's English class just wrapped up their study of Holocaust literature by exploring a gallery of Holocaust photos and writing a monologue based on a person in a photo they chose. Students found inspiration for these historical fiction pieces in the literature they had read in class which included essays, short stories, and poetry from and about this tragic time. The links below are to the VoiceThread presentations the students created. Each student included their picture and recorded their monologue in their own voice. Listen to hear the gruesome and heroic stories these students created, honoring the victims and survivors of this devastating event in human history.
