We've Hatched!

This is the image for the news article titled We've Hatched! The Kindergarten classes have spent the past 3 weeks learning about embryology. Virgil Heine, Angie Butzke, and Mary Faig brought eggs from their farms.  The students faithfully turned the eggs three times a day, candled the eggs, and watched as 15 chicks hatched from the eggs.  They were scientists as they learned how the chicks grow and develop inside the shells.  The chicks got to have their first outdoor adventure during rest time last Friday.  One student even found a worm.  It was pretty fun watching one little chick run around with his worm before eating it.  The chicks will be going back to Virgil and Angie's houses soon.  It was an AMAZING adventure!
