"Weather permitting, BNSF railroad project repair will begin Mon, May 13 on L-80F at reference point 5 on the south edge of Utica,. The crossing repair work is being done by the BNSF railroad. Work is anticipated to take one (1) day. The closure will start at 7 a.m. on May 13 and open back up at 7 a.m. on May 14. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously in and near work zones, to buckle up, and put phones down."

Reminder due to this being a NSAA District Track Meet, no passes are accepted today & students will have to pay. Go Broncos!
First grade learned about space with a trip to the Morrill Hall planetarium, a tour around the exhibits, and a lesson about dinosaurs before heading to dinosaur putt putt. We had lots of fun and learned a lot too!

Centennial Celebrates Seniors Committed to Pursuing Teaching Careers on National Signing Day!
Centennial is proud to announce its participation in the national signing day event supported nationally by Educators Rising, a community-based movement dedicated to cultivating the next generation of teachers from PDK International. This event celebrates seniors who have made a commitment to pursue degrees in education, marking an important milestone in their journey towards becoming educators.
At today’s event, the following students announced their commitment to post-secondary education with an intent to major in education and to attain a credential to teach

Activity Update:
Due to impending severe weather for this evening, all after-school practices and activities are cancelled. We will be moving the 7th-12th Grade Swing Into Spring Concert to tomorrow night alongside our secondary music programs.

6:45 PM - 7th/8th Grade Choir, Glee, & Band
7:30 PM - 9th-12 Grade Choir, Show Choir, Band, Jazz Band, & Solo Performances
We know this will make for a longer evening tomorrow night, but with the impending severe weather, we want to keep everyone as safe as possible, so we're looking forward to a great night tomorrow night.

Just a reminder that tomorrow is our 6th-12th grade community service day. Students & staff should either wear or bring clothes to change into that you don't mind getting dirty. Having a hat & sunscreen is recommended as well. We will be taking off from the school at 1PM & volunteering for a couple of hours. We expect to be back prior to 3:20 so that all students can be transported home in their usual manner. It will be a great afternoon or service learning!

Due to the potential for another round of thunderstorms between 4:00-5:00PM today, all sports practices are canceled. Kids will be dismissed at regular time and buses will run accordingly.
The potential for severe storms diminishes after 5:00PM, so the athletic banquet will still be on as planned tonight.
